The course was created within the framework of a grant for "Creation of online courses on health and medical sciences" (LOT number 3: Code: 2020-11-MP-0001/3; project "Providing by 2024 at least 20 percent of students in educational programs of higher education the opportunities to master individual courses, disciplines (modules), including in the format of online courses, using the resources of other organizations engaged in educational activities, including universities, ensuring that the quality of training of students is consistent with the world level")..
You begin studying the discipline “Food Hygiene”. To complete it successfully you should learn the proposed materials on all topics and pass intermediate tests. The total number of points for the discipline is 100. A maximum of 70 points you can get for passing intermediate tests. The final test is estimated at 30 points. Testing lasts for 60 minutes and you have 2 attempts to take it.
The discipline “Food Hygiene” is designed to form knowledge of the principles of rational nutrition in students, to teach future doctors to carry out qualified preventive measures related to the dietary habits of the adult population and children of different age groups; to perform sanitary and educational work on the formation of a healthy lifestyle, including food culture, and monitor the effectiveness; to be able to assess the impact of a nutritional factor on the body, as well as to assess the degree of this impact and to take specific preventive measures aimed at strengthening the state of health.
The discipline consists of:
– video lectures, revealing the content of the studied topic;
– lecture notes in text format.
Each topic is supplied with tasks in a test format. The final control of knowledge is carried out in the form of a test.

PC-1: able and ready to implement a set of measures aimed at maintaining and strengthening health and including the formation of a healthy lifestyle, prevention of the occurrence and (or) spread of diseases, their early diagnosis, identification of the causes and conditions of their occurrence and development, as well as aimed at eliminating the harmful effects of environmental factors on human health;
PC-15: ready to teach patients and their relatives the basic hygienic measures of a health-improving nature, the skills of self-control of the main physiological indicators that contribute to the preservation and strengthening of health, the prevention of diseases;
PC-16: ready for educational activities to eliminate risk factors and develop healthy lifestyle skills.
